At the heart of the medical profession is the interaction between doctor and patient, and classical Muslim literature often codified what rights and responsibilities the two hold over one another. What were these and do they hold true to this day? And how should Muslim doctors and patients navigate situations where they feel they are called upon to act in contradiction to their faith?
